Methodology

Participants
NECTAR only includes omnivores & flexitarians in its research. For each study, we select a representative sample of participants across age, gender, education, and socioeconomic status.

Testing Environment
We conduct authentic, quantitative & qualitative blind taste tests in restaurant settings. This allow us to control the testing environment while providing a natural experience for participants.

Sample Preparation
All products are prepared using proper equipment and according to manufacturer instructions. Participants may add condiments but are required to apply them consistently across products.

Tasting Experience
Participants are served conventional dishes based on the products they are trying. While eating, participants fill out a mobile phone survey about each product in a randomized order.
